Game jam's Post Mortem

First dev log since the game jam ended! It's been a great week. A lot have gone right and some have gone wrong.

In the development, everything was fine until I had to randomly generate and save the different levels layouts. A day past until I finally managed to find a solution to my problem. I just couldn't get the entrance to remember de configuration of the precendent rooms, it took me at least 8 hours to finally get my head back with a clear idea of how to do so! Nothing like getting something to work after so many hours of headaches.

Post-development, I just couldn't submit my game.. 10 minutes left to the jam and it just doesn't work. I get an error on the plateform but my game is there, I see it! Finally, after some back and forth with someone from the jam, I get a late submission link to submit my game to the jam. With 1/2 of the time to vote left, I get 2 votes on my game where others get 13-15. I don't need to tell you I was a little disapointed.. In the end, it's the experience that matters and I'm glad that my first jam wasn't as easy as I'd expected.

Here's some of the changed since the Jam version of the game!

Updated visual effects in the game.

- Background dynamic color change

- Bone visual to a more realistic style

- Skull Monster's visual to a more scary looking

- Post processing effects

- Added the Input [E] to shoot bones without a mouse. (Less accurate but more practical on a laptop)

- Changed the placeholder main menu.

Hope you enjoy!
